Hard to believe it's been nearly 30 years since we first sang along to those lines (especially that prophetic last line) sung by David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, thinking at the time that 10 years was a long way off. When that 10 years came and went, we learned just how fast a decade can move. Now that it's THIRTY years that's got behind us, and with any given memory of our life's past seeming like it happened only yesterday, we find that it's our ENTIRE LIFE that passes in the blink of an eye, much less a mere 10 years.
Ten years.
That's just about what a Cane Corso has...
Time flies on wings of lightning, we cannot call it back:
"The sun, unhindered by the thoughts & desires of weak mortal man who is yet restrained in the cradle of his immaturity, rolls onward in its strength on the set track of its ordered heavenly course -a fiery juggernaut roaring relentlessly through its twin gates of dusk and dawn -burning away the days and hours and minutes of each man's mortal probation -bringing him ever closer to his day of promised reckoning with its requisite recompense of either Eternal Limitation -- or Endless Increase..."
-Randall C. Todd
"You run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking,
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death."
--Roger Waters
We are all subject to the rules of the same world. We're here but for a moment. In the case of our beloved dogs, it's a very short moment. I'm glad for the dogs who go to someone willing to give them the attention they deserve. I'm glad for the customers of COLOSSEUM SHADOWS Cane Corsos -they get a dog that won't fall short on the return.
