Breeders Of Ignorance

You would expect someone who advertises themself as "a breeder" to be knowledgeable of their particular breed wouldn't you? You should expect them at the very least to be able to correctly pronounce their own breed's name, wouldn't you agree? That's just too basic to not know by the time you're breeding. I could not in confidence purchase a purebred dog -especially an expensive one- from anyone who out of sheer ignorance refers to their own breed using the name of another breed altogether and/or who doesn't know how to pronounce their own breed's name. I find myself shaking my head in amazement at how many so-called breeders of the Cane Corso have sprung up out there who are so ignorant of the most basic facts regarding their own breed that they don't know how to pronounce the name of the dogs they are breeding or that the name they use is the name for another breed altogether! I have to question the motives of those types who are so obviously uninterested in their breed that they've made little to no effort to learn of them. It is quite apparent to me that they are more interested in what they can get out of breeding than any real interest in the breed itself. Forget about learning of the breed, there are those who just want to "cash in" on its rising popularity. Any so-called breeder who calls the breed by another breed's name or who doesn't know how to pronounce the breed's real name is at best truly ignorant, and at worst only in it for the money.
