OUR COMPUTER HAS BEEN DOWN AND I HAVE BEEN
VERY BUSY. SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO RESPOND. THE
PUP'S NAME IS *LUNA SCURA* WHICH MEANS DARK MOON.
LUNA IS DOING VERY WELL AND WEIGHED 35 LBS AT 90
DAYS. SHE SITS AND LAYS DOWN ON HAND COMMAND. SHE
ALREADY HAS A STRONG BITE WHICH SHE SHOWS DURING TUG
OF WAR. SHE ESPECIALLY LIKES TO SPAR WITH THE OTHER
BIGGER DOGS; HOWEVER SHE GIVES 100% RESPECT TO MY 88%
WOLF HYBRID SO LUNA IS TURNING OUT TO SHOW THAT SHE
IS QUITE INTELLIGENT AND DISCERNING.
AT THE AIRPORT WE MADE IT ALL THE WAY TO THE GATE
UNTIL AN EMPLOYEE TOLD ME THAT LUNA NEEDED A SPECIAL
CONTAINER AND WOULD NOT LET ME BOARD WITH HER IN MY
DUFFEL BAG. I THEN WENT TO THE SUPERVISOR'S OFFICE
WITH LUNA IN THE BAG, SHOWED HIM THAT SHE HAD PLENTY
OF AIR AND SPACE AND RECEIVED SPECIAL PERMISSION TO
TAKE HER ON THE JET AS LONG AS I PAID A $50.00 TICKET
FOR HER, WHICH I DID. SHE SLEPT THE ENTIRE WAY HOME.
SHE IS WITH ME CONSTANTLY BUT DOES SLEEP OUTDOORS
WITH THE OTHER DOGS AND CATS. SHE IS VERY GENTLE
UNLESS SHE DECIDES ITS PLAY TIME. THEN SHE CAN BE
QUITE AGGRESSIVE. BUT, SO FAR SO GOOD. I AM VERY
HAPPY WITH HER. GOT TO GO NOW, STAY IN TOUCH.

Thank you Richard. I'm much relieved to finally hear
some news of her... I had visions of her suffocating
in that bag... Just like a worried parent I suppose
:-)
"Luna Scura" (Italian for "Dark Moon")- I love the
name!!
I need you to e-mail me your address so I can send
you her registration applications- they finally came
in.
And thanks again for the detailed update! I much
appreciate it. Keep me posted when you can... it
would be good to hear of her weight periodically.
An interesting note before I go:
The last female that I sold out of this litter went
to Chris Warren, the big running-back with the
Seattle Seahawks the past few years (a 3x ProBowler).
He's a free agent now and was just picked up by the
Dallas Cowboys this year (but I didn't ask him what
his price tag was). The thing is, now that he's at
Dallas he has to compete with Emmitt Smith for his
running-back position. Anyway, just thought you might
find it interesting that Luna's litter-mate went to a
big-time NFL running-back- a 3x Pro-bowler no less...
The guy can run! But his Corso will run circles
around him! I told him that he may have gotten use to
attracting attention when he goes out in public, but
that it's fixin' to change when he goes out with his
Colosseum Shadows Corso... she'll be the one
attracting the attention! :-D
Well, gotta go to bed, it's getting late.
Sincerely,
-Randall C. Todd-

HI RANDALL,
MY ADDRESS IS __________ Windsor, CA _____
KEEP ME INFORMED ON THE PROGRESS OF LUNA'S
LITTERMATES. LUNA HAS KEPT HER BEAUTIFUL COLORATION
AND HER COAT IS SILKY SMOOTH. YOU WERE VERY CORRECT
ABOUT THE EXCESSIVE ATTENTION SHE WOULD GET. IT TAKES
ME OVER TWICE AS LONG TO GO SHOPPING WITH HER. SHE
ENJOYS GOING TO THE HARDWARE STORE WHERE SHE RIDES IN
THE SHOPPING CART. SHE IS WELL MANNERED UNLESS HER
SLEEP IS DISRUPTED WHEN SHE WILL GROWL HER
DISSATTISFACTION. I AM ALSO TEACHING HER SOME
COMMANDS IN ITALIAN WHICH SHE IS QUICKLY PICKING UP.
THAT WAY NO ONE ELSE CAN CONFUSE HER WITH COMMON
ENGLISH COMMANDS. HER HEALTH IS PERFECT AND HER VET
HAS PRONOUNCED HER AS VERY SOUND. TALK TO YOU
SOON!

randall,
this is an update from miami, where we spent our
first weekend with our new dog. his name is luigi!
he arrived in west-palm-beach at 09:00 p.m. e.t.!!
that means about 2 houres delay in huston and then
finaly they could not land in miami due to heavy
thunderstorms at that time. so i had to drive two
houres to pick him up!! i arrived at the airport in
west palm around 10:00 p.m.... i got him home, let
him relax a bit, feed him and then i put him in his
crate. he did not liked that at all and was whining
for the first night and a lot on saturdy too.
saturday we went earlie out and then we went to see
the vet. he took out the stiches (from the ear
crops), gave me some med for the ears. he thinks the
dog is in perfect shape and especialy he liked the
ear crops. my vet thinks that you did there a perfect
job! so far so good.
right now i crate him. he goes out every 3 houres,
then play and feed a bit and then back in the crate
again. he starts to acept this more and more. almost
no more whining alldoe he does not go in there
without some pushes. my vet thinks that this is the
right thing to do for a couple weeks. the soiling
(housetraining) works perfect. he does not do
anything inside!
so far no major problems. when we play he does a lot
of play biting, i try to stop that by corrective
jerks on his neck. what do you suggest here.
so if you have a few tip's concerning the crating and
the correction on the play bites, i would appreciate
that very much!!
talk to you later......

Randall,
Here a little update from Miami. Luigi had a great
summer. He will turn six month by the end of this
week. He has now grown to 74 pounds and he seems to
be very strong.
I just had him at the Vet for completion of vax and
rabies and all the rest. He also got his microchip so
that he cannot get lost. The Vet's are impressed by
this dog and everybody tells me, that he is an
outstandingly good-looking dog. I will take some
picture this week, with my digital camera and will
mail them to you.
Luigi has also learned all the basic commands (sit,
stay, down, come etc.) He is doing well and is very
well tempered!
I just finished to build a brand-new, huge kennel for
him, with doghouse and all a dog can dream of. Right
now I'm in the process of considering, whether or not
it would be a good idea, to get a second dog (maybe
another cane corso) to get Luigi some companionship.
What is your view on this, and if positive should it
be the same breed; what do I have to consider or do;
should it be a bitch or another boy; older or the
same age as him or maybe a puppy? I would appreciate
to get your advice on this subject!
By the way, I have given your phone number and
address to a friend of mine. He is a very wealthy
Venezuelan which has retired and lives on a farm down
there. He is looking for a great guard/protection but
still nice family dog to take him down there. He
knows Luigi and thinks that this would be the right
type of dog. I think he wants one. He will either
call or mail you and he will refer to me!
I'm looking forward to hear from you!
Dan from Miami
Dear Randall:
Just got your message today. We were on vacation from 7/9 - 7/19. We went to Taos, N.M. Still wish I was there. Tequila (Of The Colosseum) is doing great. I was getting her nice and plump and then when we left for Taos I had to leave her and BooBoo at work for boarding. She lost 6lbs, while I was gone. I knew she would lose some, but man o man. She really is the most pickiest eater I have ever encountered. I make scrambled eggs twice a day to put in her food. She gets S.D. growth formula and S.D. lamb & rice growth, twice a day. She was up to 87lbs. before the crash diet!! When I get her looking good again I will send a pic... [Gigi has since reported Tequila Del Colosseo to be 95.lbs @ 17 months and "very beautiful"] ...As of tomorrow she and I are starting an exercise program to build up her leg muscles so she can be competitive against the males in future shows. It will be an experience for both of us. she loves to run and I have always been a sprinter not a jogger, but here we go... Hopefully she'll be unforgetable when we get to Dallas in October... I have requested info from ICCF and ARBA, just waiting to receive it. Let you know more later on that. Hope you and the kids have settled well in your new place. Randall thanks for everything and I'll let you know more in near future... My Black dog Bear died 6/12 of old age. Amazing - all year I had a feeling that he was going to leave me soon. I think once Tequila came into the picture he as able to let go knowing that I had found a replacement for him (metaphysically speaking) although I do believe this to be true. anyway from one dog person to another thought I'd tell you.
L:ove gigi (Brownsville, Texas)
I have never been so pleased to have purchased a pup
from you Randall, great dog! This is the best
tempered and best looking pup that I've ever owned.
I'LL always reccomend your dogs.

DEAR RANDY,
HI! HOPE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE DOING WELL? STEVE
AND I ARE DOING GREAT AND HAVING ALOT OF FUN WITH
ZACK. HE FITS RIGHT IN HERE. SANDY (OUR
ROTTWEILER) KEEPS HIM BUSY WITH THEIR "BONEY RING",
RUNNING IN THE BACKYARD, SLEEPING IN BED, AND PLAYING
(CHASING) THE KITTYS. RANDY HE IS SO ADORABLE AND A
LOVABLE DOG, AND PROTECTIVE. ONE NIGHT STEVE HAD BAND
PRACTICE AND CAME IN LATE. WELL I WAS ASLEEP WITH THE
LIGHTS OFF AND HAD A RADIO PLAYING AND BOTH DOGS
(ZACK & SANDY) WERE ASLEEP ALSO. WELL ZACK HEARD
STEVE AND WAS STARTLED. ALL STEVE HEARD WAS ZACK'S
BIG PAWS COMING AND A GROWL TO FOLLOW. STEVE YELLED
OUT "ZACK IT'S ME! ZACK IT'S DADDY!". AS SOON AS
STEVE TURNED THE LIGHTS ON AND ZACK SAW WHO STEVE WAS
HE GOT ALL LOVEY.
SINCERELY,
Randy,
Just thought I'd send you an update on Murphy. At 13
weeks he weighed 46 pounds and the vet said his
health is great. I've never had a dog that bonded as
fast or that learns as quickly as he does. Most
things you only have to show him once. Housebreaking
was very easy and he instinctively seemed to have
house manners. We have had no problems with him
chewing, we keep a basket with his toys in it and he
will go and pick one out when he wants to play or
chew, we're going to try to teach him to put them
back when he is finished with them. He gets along
great with our other dogs ( a 14 year old Great
Pyrenees, 6 year old Welsh Springer Spaniel and 7
month old Great Dane ) and our 2 cats. He is with us
constantly, he sleeps inside and I take him to work
with me every day. We are starting formal obedience
training next month and I am really looking forward
to it. I have never had a dog so eager to please. I
am totally sold on this breed. If you have anyone who
wants to talk to someone who has purchased a dog from
you please have them contact me. I will stay in touch
and let you know how he progresses. Thanks for a
GREAT dog.
Sincerely,

I just spent several hours looking at your website
and all I can say is WOW!! Your website is absolutely
amazing! When I spoke with you yesterday I forgot to
mention that we are finally on-line.
Sabbo seems to be feeling a little better.
I wanted to ThankYou for always getting back to us.
The Dogs are my pride and joy. They are not just
family but my children. I was really excited to hear
you think I can still show Sabbo. All this time I
thought he was too big. Buying my 2 Canes Sabbo & Poco
were probably the best thing I have done in my life.
I couldn't be any happier. We would always recommend
you to anyone in the future. In the past year I work
with them 24/7 All 3 (including my oddball duro who
we did not purchase from you) have been doing
exceptionally well. I have now mastered Voice Command
with all of them. They never stray from my side even
when we are in public and other people and dogs are
around. Sabbo can do almost any trick imagined,
Shake, crawl, roll over, Beg, Dance, Give me hug,
Kisses,Speak,Jump. Duro & Poco have yet to Master all
of the above tricks yet. Sabbo is a real ham and
loves all the attention he gets. Every time we go to
the local pet stores we are there at least several
hours. My local Vet tells me I should be proud he is
such a joy to work with and can't believe how well
mannered he is. All 3 know how to use the bathroom on
command. They also know when it is bed time we make a
Night-Night. Sabbo sleeps in the bed with us. Paul
keeps saying someone needs to invent a bigger bed
than a Cal-King cause that is what we have and Sabbo
takes up all the room.
Well, I know you are busy. Both myself and Paul look
forward to hopefully seeing you some time soon in the
future. You know you and the dogs and the kids are
always welcome to come visit us. I also look forward
to being at future shows so I can show off my
Sabbioso Del Colosseo & Ms.Poco Panino Del
Colosseo.
